Hi,The role of BCP in PCOS would be to regulate your periods and stop
you from ovulating so you don't get anymore cysts while on them,Diane35
is also an anti androgen which will help with excess testosterone and
will help with cosmetic issues such as excess hair grouth on face or
other areas,acne,hair loss.From what I have learned though for many of
us the best treatment is using an insulin sensitizer. It can eventually
regulate your periods and take care of some of the other issues too.The
only problem with Metformin is that a large percentage of woman who take
it stop taking it because of gastro side affects.You might want to look
up in the archives about metformin (aka Glucophage).This might be a good
alternative for you since you don't want to take BCP because of your
High blood pressure.Metformin tends to have good affects on LDL and HDL
