Hi Kim, I know i'm not Doctor Sam but yes Glucophage is worth a try! especially in conjunction with Clomid. My Doctor explained to me that insulin sensitizers work like Primers for the overies lowering the testosterone and balancing out the hormones so you can possibly concieve naturally without the use of clomid, and if you do need clomid the insulin sensitizers give you a better chance at actually ovulating. Here is a good article on Metformin (aka Glucophage)clomid combination to achieve ovulation.http://www.parentsplace.com/expert/fertility/meds/qa/0,9144,11576,00.html Hope this helps,Dona

>Sam, Thanks for the advise. I am not positive, but believe that my dr. did check all of the hormones and insulin which were all in the normal range except testosterone. I know that when i had some blood tests there were 12 different tests marked. He did not put me on any meds for pcos except the provera to start my periods, because my hormones were WNL for the most part. He told me that according to my ultrasound i have pcos, but according to the labs only my testosterone is abnormal. I have an appt in two weeks when i am supposed to decide between the laproscopy and the clomid. what else has worked for fertility besides the clomid. Is glucophage worth a try? -- Are there any questions that may be helpful for me to ask? thanks kim
