Hi Andrena,

A good doctor can diagnose PCOS on a women sitting in his/her waiting room... Well at least the majority of cases can be Dx-ed by looking at the patient and asking several simple questions. All the blood work and hormones are additional. Don't expect to have all the symptoms you can find in textbooks or archives.
