I was told almost 5 years ago that I had PCOS. My doctor put me on BCP and glucophage. I lost almost 60 pounds and my IR got much better. When I got married I had to leave that doctor and go to see military doctors who wouldn't give me RX for glucophage. I have gained almost 70 pounds in the last year and was doing horrible. After a long battle with the entire military hospital and 6 specialists later I am back on glucophage. The only problem is now it's not working. It's been about 6 months and still no sign of losing weight or helping my IR. My doctor doesn't know much about PCOS and said it would be up to me to find out what will work best. Why is it not working? Is there something else I can take that will help control the IR and help with the weight? Thank you!
