Re: Ortho-Cyclen and PeriodsFrom: Munchichic (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 25 Sep 2001 10:20:28 -0500 (CDT)
Well Jaime, that depends on your situation. Are you a PCOSer who DOES have periods on her own or not? How are your cycles normally? What was the exact reason you were put on the BCP? And how long has it been since you were LAST on a BCP? All of these have a factor in answering your question. On a GENERAL term, yes, it can be considered normal to start 1 pk of BCPs and not have your period yet. After 2 would be the point to start wondering why. Your best bet is to ask your Dr. since we don't know your health history and we're not the ones who Rx the BCP in the first place. Only your Dr. can accurately respond to that question. Give him/her a call.
