Hi,

I had my first appointment with a Endo yesterday and she went through all the dos and donts with regards to metformin, and she said that as soona s I fall preganant I am to stop the metformin completly, I gave her all the info I had gotten from various websites about the risks of miscarriage and such she said that she know the USA have done research but the UK are still researching,,,, she said something which I have not heard,,,, she said that there is a chance that the baby will be born without a pancreas which will cause problems in the future, now what I would like to know is how true is this and what are the chances of this happening???

Any info would be greatly appreciated,,, and also have any of you ladies heard of someone carryimg full term while being on Met and was the baby fine....

thanks again

Kind regards
