Hi Allison,
Metformin helps even if you are not insulin resistant, but PCOS. I do not know what do you mean by 170-180 levels (of what? what units?)
The question of progesterone suppositories comes later, first you have to conceive and metformin helps in this respect too. You should start metformn alone for at least 6 mo and add clomid only after that.
