I started taking it in February of this year and stopped after six months. I too had breakthrough bleeding and spotting. I started one period TWO HOURS after I took the last active pill! I am now taking Yasmin. This is the first cycle of pills and I have had no breakthrough bleeding yet this month. When I took Alesse, it seemed to help if I took it at the exact same time every day. If I missed a pill by an hour, sometimes I would have spotting or breakthrough bleeding. Hope this helps. You can write me privately if you have more questions.
