Is your calf swollen and warm? If you squeeze your calf, does it hurt a lot? If so, that could be a blood clot in your leg vein, and you need to go to an ER now, before the clot dislodges. BCPs make women more prone to them, and smoking worsens the risk.

If the above symptoms don't apply, then talk with your doctor about it whenever you get an appointment. There should be no reason to live with pain. It might be easily resolved, or could be a sign of something else important.
