Wow Dona - that is a high dosage... even to be the final dosage you top out at. Is this the amount he started you on?!? If so, that is an awful lot to ask of your system! From everything I've read, you really need to start small to get your system used to it - also whatever side effects you may have that might have been tolerable at 1000 mg per day, may be impossible to deal with at 2550 mg per day...I even wonder if that could be dangerous. I'm definately NOT saying that I know for sure that it is, I just wonder. But I have to say I'm with you on thinking it definately sounds high. I started out on 1000 mg per day and there were times I thought I would just move the t.v and telephone into the bathroom and just stay there! lol. So I can't imagine what it would have been with 2550.
