Re: progesterone and GTT results-urgent ! DR. Sam or others.From: =?iso-8859-2?q?Zalányi Sámuel ?= (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 9 Sep 2001 09:31:18 +0200
Hi Anita, Progesterone amy or maynot influence GTT, but youa re not taking PROGESTEONE but a synthetic variant of it. A huge difference. Well female hormones do influence GTT, but not to the extent that you would be mistaken for a diabetic. On the other hand GTT is not to diagnose PCOD (or PCOS as most of us call it). Your case seems to be a clear post-pill amenorrhoea which is not a big thing. Do you have any hormone results? Looking forward to your answer Sam
