HI DR. SAM- MY DR HAS PRESCRIBED 500MG OF GLUCOPHAGE 2X PER DAY FOR INSULIN RESISTANCE, AND THINKS THAT THIS WILL HELP WITH MY IRREGULAR CYCLES AND OVULATION. MY CYCLES HAVE NEVER BEEN REGULAR WITH OUT BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. I HAVE ONLY BEEN TAKING THE MEDS FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS, AND THE ONLY THING I NOTICED WAS A 5 LB WEIGHT LOSS. HOW LONG DO THE MEDS USUALLY TAKE TO HELP WITH OVULATION AND CONCEPTION, AND WHAT IS THE AVERAGE DOSE THAT IS USED FOR CONCEPTION. ALSO HOW SUCCESSFUL IS THE MEDICATION WHEN USED FOR PREGNANCY. ANY OTHER INFO ON THIS DRUG WOULD BE HELPFUL TOO, SINCE I REALLY DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT IT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.
