Hi Lauren,

Metformin shifts your metabolism into acidotic direction. There is a (little bit exagerated) warning on the label not to drink alcohol, because it too causes acidosis and the two may combine to end up in a life-theatening lactic acidosis. I know of one person who ended up with LA. For your info
