Do your own research into PCOS on the net or with others that have the problem. If I had to rely on others, I would seriously be dead by now. Do your research, find out what is best for you (everyone's needs are different) and, when you are sure, go for it and insist you get the treatment you need. I had to insist with my doctor to give me Metformin and, as a result, he now commends me that I have taken the steps to help myself. My symptons have improved, though I am not out of the woods yet. Also, you can never be harmed by pursuing a more natural lifestyle, i.e. natural foods, exercise, lower stress levels, etc. I hope this helps.
