Re: No weight loss on Glucophage!

To be even more specific, when a PCOSer loses weight on Glucophage (Metformin), it's not so much that weight loss is a side effect of the drug, it's that the insulin imbalance is what may have caused the patient to gain weight in the first place, and if so, restoring the *correct* insulin balance may cause the patient to lose weight (if the weight was insulin-related).

The person who posted to say she had no decrease in sugar cravings -- to me, that is more of a signal that it's not working and the dosage may need to be adjusted, rather than just whether or not one loses weight.
