Hi Sue, You do post good points about the "other side" of the story. :) I was more on the side of drugs that only have a small percentage of these beneficial side effects. These are the ones that should not be Rx because of the side effect, because the majority of patients taking it would NOT experience them. For other drugs (I was not aware of the Rogaine story), if the beneficial side effect is great (say 50% or more), then I can better understand the reason for Rx that drug to a patient, but when you're talking about an occurence of less than that---it's just wrong to make the patients excited and get their hopes up for something that isn't "likely" to happen for them. It's just not fair to them. That was my whole point. Thanks for your response! --Zowie :)
