Met and Clomid

My gyn told me this morning that there was a new study that just came out today (sorry-I forgot to ask the journal) that looked at PCOS women who wanted to conceive. They gave 1/3 met, 1/3 clomid, and 1/3 both. The conception rates were about the same for all three groups. However, the group on met had a fewer miscarriages. No surprise to us here, but it's good to see it in the professional literature where the relevant docs will see it.

I go the prescriptions today to switch to Yasmin and from Met to Actos. We'll see how it goes. I was doing well on the met, but wanted to try Actos. The thing that capped it was that I was reading in "Living with PCOS" that met can cause hair loss (not what I need), and the Actos can help lower testosterone and triglicerides.
