One Christa to another, I can tell you that I have a friend who has PCOS who is not insulin resistant. She isn't overweight in the slightest, nor hairy, nor does she have irregular periods. She does however have the horomones of a lactating mother, even before she'd ever had kids or lactated. So, no, not all PCO is caused by IR.
