Re: PCOS-MEDICATION digest 529From: Allison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 3 Aug 2001 14:07:31 -0700 (PDT)
Hi Alison, It looks like there's two of us. My name's Allison too. And I can sympathize with feeling devistated about the fertility problems and the must have felt when you just found out. I was in tears for a month when I was first out myself. Especially sinse I come from a family of women who giving birth easily has always been a given and my sister gets pregnant if someone looks sideways. I'd love a child of my own too. It sounds like you've got a decent Dr though. That's a good start. And remember, difficult doesn't mean impossible, it just means you need to work for it and have faith and hope. Even if hope feels about as big as an ant you've got to just keep trying and trusting that things will work out. If I let the PCOS get to me I find myself depressed and I know that's not gonna help so I just keep plugging away with diet, excercise, researching, keeping busy and going rounds over meds with my gyn (she resists doing any more tests and I'm working her up to trying an insulin sensitizer instead of just provera with me). If you just need to talk, go ahead and e-mail me off line.
