Jen,

i switched from Ortho-tricyclen to Orthocept 5 months ago and the same thing happened. my doc and dermatologist both told me that nausea and skin break outs are common when trying a new bcp. they also told me that it usually takes up to 3-6 months to see the positive anti-androgenic effects of a new bcp or anti-androgen medication. hormone leves are slow to change, but do eventually if you stick with the meds!

good luck!

(p.s. i had to be on spiro and orcept for 4 mo. before i started noticing a difference, and then BAM! it all kicked in.
