I know this is a very personal decision that only you can make, but if breastmilk kept people from having insulin problems, then I shouldn't have PCO, either. I was nursed for quite a long time--probably until 10 or 11 mos. old. More than anything, just be aware that having a mom who is ill and unable to tend to her own medical issues doesn't do your baby much good--my OB has always said that a child whose mother is healthy (and maybe doing less for the child) is better off than one whose mother is ill but isn't treating herself due to her child. I hope that makes sense....
