Possible skin help for those whoo need itFrom: Serena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Jul 2001 23:54:25 -0500 (CDT)
Hi everyone! I have horrible skin! I have been through many, many skin creams, face washes,etc.... But.... I have finally found some itmes that really work for me and they may work for you too. Acne----Wash face with St Ives Clear Pore Cleanser (this comes in a pump bottle and has tea tree extract in it) This has been wonderful! After I wash my face, I use Azelex Cream (Azelaic acid cream 20%) This must be prescribed by a doctor or dermatologist. This is the best! It does take about a week and you will hopefully notice major skin clearing. ****NOTE*** I have a VERy fair complexion and had a ton of blackheads and pimples everywhere on my face and back. My skin is almost cleared up except for my nose which still does get blackheads but I have a 75% imporvement in my skin and now only use foundation to even the reddish tone. Hair----My hair is terribly curly like spiral curls which is dry and even more so in the past 2 years but, I have found a couple of things that works well for me....Paul Mitchell leave in conditioner.....and Biosilk....this stuff has been great because it is not abnormal for me to lose at least a handful of hair per day. This has been improved greatly also. (Good thing I have a ton of hair...) Skin on legs---I use desowen on my legs because I have red bumps on them....This has been a long process improving them but they are close to being gone also. (This is a prescription cream) Skin on the back of arms---I have these little bumps on the back of my arm---Lachydrin is what I use there. Wonderful stuff Hands----Oh boy I have severe eczema on my fingers and bottom of my toes. I use Psorcon (diflorasone diacetate ointment) 0.05% This is great stuff too. Also a prescription but works wonders. The eczema is a real ongoing problem for me but this stuff works. Sorry for such a long list but it has taken me 2 years to finally find what works. I do realize that it may be costly if you do not have a good prescription plan but if you can get your doc to give you some samples of this. Please let me know if this helps anyone and good luck..
