By the way Joanne, you should mention to your friend that she might want to discuss the consequences of not having regular cycles with her doctor. One disease associated with lack of menses is an increased risk of osteoporosis.

I suspect also that have regular cycles (meaning her hormones are more normalized) would reduce the hair growth.

So while it may seem nice not to have cramps, bloating and mood swings each month, it comes with a price down the road.
