Questions about Blood Work

Hi, I have looked everywhere on the internet and am looking for a chart that explains blood levels. I am interested in finding out what are "normal" levels. I am seeing an Endo for my PCOs but I am not understanding his responses to my bloodwork. He has prescribed Metformin (1000 mgs per day) which is not really doing anything for me. He has only tested my Cholesterol, Testosterone and really I do not think anything else. Really, I am looking for a list of all the blood levels that need to be tested. He has told me that my testosterone was fine, well I know my body and that just is not possible. I do believe that he is a great doc but he is just not experienced in treating PCOS. I guess this is all confusing to me because I have a lot of the effects that PCOS graces us with.

This is me: Overweight, carry weight in the stomach area, high cholesterol, hair growing everywhere other than where it should be, low sex drive, severe eczema on my hands and toes, skin tags like there is no tomorrow (I get them removed often from my derm) and very irregular periods. Alos, I am now about 35-40 lbs overweight.

My concern: I really am trying to get to the bottom of my helath issues because, I am 26, my mom had a hysterectomy when she was 25, my grandmother died when she was 46 from a massive heart attack and my body is a mirror image of my Grandma. (She had the excess weight in her stomach and all of the above issues too) I do not want to end up like that.

I really would appreciate any info you can give me.

You may email me anytime and thanks

Sincerely,

Serena
