I am really sorry to hear once again that women are getting terrible treatment for PCOS. My apologies to "Magster," who is the latest victim of an Endocrinologist..and a RE. My goodness. I have been through the same thing. I am so sick and tired of trying to get doctor's to listen to me. Magster is right...most doctor's want to put women on the pill and that is it. You try and take them some information..and they think that you are trying to "one up them." Most doctor's don't even want to explain anything..or deal with the patient on any kind of a level. I have been to three Endo's that think the whole "insulin resistance" thing..it a bunch of bull. HUH???? I thought all the studies proved insulin resistance in women with pcos. I mean it is like... "Gee..you are fat and hairy...here is birth control..go join the circus..and maybe, just maybe you will find a man to marry you." $#@@$@! Grrrrrrrrr.... I thank all the good doctor's out there..I am sure there are some...I have not found them yet. But I am sick of getting blown off. It gets really discouraging when you are the only one that cares about your own health. Why don't some of these doctor's take the time to research a little? Or at least take the time to listen to their patient's? I mean..how sad it is that Magster...had to come back to this board to get answers. Her doctor should answer questions..just like all of our doctor's should... I mean this is ridiculous. Thank God, for this board..and all the people who contribute to it. I don't know where some of us would be. So thank you to everyone here. I feel for you Magster..just know..you are not alone sweetie... Thanks for letting me get that off my chest...
