My fears about having PCOSFrom: jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Jul 2001 00:18:29 -0500 (CDT)
My name is Jennifer. I was told by my doctor i had PCOS when i was 21. I am 24. I have notice the hair on my face getting worse and worse every month. i am also getting fatter. i exercise and dont eat alot but the gaining hasnt let up in the least. I just recently fond this web sit and am thankful for it. The thing that scares me now is never having a child...my sister has 3 and is always pregnant, i just want my turn but with the weight and cursed ovaries what is the likly hood of me having children? I am also frightened of the hair loss i have very fine thin hair already when should i expect that to start going? if there are others who have this copndition please tell me when you started noticing it. I just want to be normal. I am going to my doctor tomorrow and asking for some of the drugs i have read about on here thanks for everyones post. hopefully we will someday find a cure and more help with our symptoms. i have faith in science. are there any ideas as to what causes this? does anyone have children....is there hope with out fertility drugs, can it happen naturally? thanks for replies. Thanks Jennifer B.
