HEY, THERE. YOU SOUND REALLY WORKED UP... I'VE JOTTED SOME QUICK RESPONSES "BETWEEN THE LINES"... AND I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT "NOT SO COOPERATIVE" RE'S. I'M READY TO TRY A NEW ONE AFTER STRUGGLING WITH THIS ONE FOR TOO-O-O-O LONG!

SAME AS WHAT YOU HAVE WITH AN "XR" ATTACHED... Glucophage XR I HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET, BUT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE MUCH BETTER. >2) What's up with the whole Avandia thing? I know that the drug controls

AVANDIA IS WHAT'S CALLED AN ORAL GLYCEMIC. CHECK THE ARCHIVES... LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ON A COMBINATION. I TOOK AVANDIA 8 MG AND MET 500 MG ONCE DAILY FOR A YEAR... MY DOC DOES *EVERYTHING* IN COMBINATION. IT WORKED REALLY WELL FOR ME. MY RE TOLD ME THAT "EVERYONE WHO HAS PCOS WILL BE INSULIN RESISTANT IF THEY'RE TESTED". I WAS NEVER TESTED EITHER (ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES I WISH I WAS TESTED, JUST FOR A BASELINE NUMBER... AND SOMETIMES I'D JUST LIKE TO BE SURE), AND AVANDIA WAS STILL PRESCRIBED... SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES HAVE AN ISSUE WITH PAYING "INSULIN RESISTANCE" SINCE THE FORMULARY ONLY LISTS "DIABETES" FOR AVANDIA. LIKE OTHERS I KNOW, MY INSURANCE CO. ASSUMED THAT I'M DIABETIC, I THINK. WHATEVER WORKS. >3) Lactic Acidosis. Scary. And I'm not feeling well. Does anyone out

SORRY, CAN'T HELP YOU ON THIS ONE, BUT I'VE READ THAT IT'S VERY RARE. TRY SEARCHING FOR IT ON THE NET WITH QUOTES AROUND IT "LACTIC ACIDOSIS". GOOD LUCK TO YOU. YOU'LL GET USED TO ALL THE JARGON FASTER THAN YOU THINK! CHRISTINA >Thanks all,
