I was on 8 mg Avandia with 500 mg glucophage for almost a year. I felt GREAT and had regular periods. No side effects at all. Then my doctor lowered my Avandia to 4 mg because he said I "couldn't be on 8 mg forever". Didn't make sense to me, I felt so good on it. My question added to yours is whether anyone else has been on a higher dose of Avandia with other IR meds?
