Hi Christa, I think we have discussed this earlier or I replied to prednisonoe question(s) earlier. Taking prednisone or any other corticosteriod is an old approach to treating PCOS. Actually it was a test to check if the extra androgens are produced by your ovaries or adrenals. The side effects of prednisone are actually deteriorating PCOS. The worst thing is that prednisone itself tilts your metabolism towards diabetes, you can get diabetic on prednisone. As the core of the PCOS is insulin resistance, anything that deteriorates it is harmful. Sam
