My RE informed me that this is old thinking and actually called it an "old wives' tale." Apparently, any medication you have to take daily is metabolised daily (hence your need for more on a daily basis), so there really are no 'residuals' in your system much past one day. For the record, I stopped taking spironolactone when my Rx ran out (about a week before trying Clomid), and have had no problems with my pgy thus far.
