Can anyone who has/is taking prednisone tell me how it's working? I understand that prednisone (I think that's what it's called) stops the adrenal gland from producing androgens. Can you take that while on BCP (I'm taking Diane 35). My symptoms (mainly acne) are really not going away even though I've been on 1500mg of glucophage for about a year now and Diane 35 for about 5 months. My complexion is better than it was but still not normal. I have never stopped taking the antibiotics which were prescribed by my dermatologist either (and I'm still breaking out). I'm curious if my adrenals are producing the excess androgens. I will speak to my endo when my next appt comes but in the mean time I would like to hear from you all. Thanks for the info.
