I keep wondering about doctors knowledge of PCOS. Naturally there is a link between miscarriage and PCOS, better to say several links.
1: The disturbed LH/FSH balance
2: Increased insulin causing increased androgens
3: Low progesterone
4: Diabetes alone increases thew risk of misc. and fetal abnormalitis
The specific treatment is metformin if you are TTC, because the other insulin sensitizers' fetal risk is unknown. I would wait with clomid at least for 6 mo, because metformin alone induces ovulation.
