Re: New to the message board, Have PCOS, searching for info on D-Chiro-Inositol & miscarriageFrom: Sue (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 14 Jul 2001 13:49:51 -0500 (CDT)
>Also looking for information that you may have on the link between PCOS and miscarriage. My doctor says there is none, frankly I don't buy it. Why would your insulin levels suddenly be ok once you're pregnant[?].< There is a site that might help you with the insulin-PCO-miscarriage link you're seeking (most knowledgeable REs conceed a much higher m/c rate with PCO pts than others). It can be found at http://blues.fd1.uc.edu/~gartsips/polycyst.htm This site is run by one Dr. Glueck in Cincinnati at Jewish Hospital (that's where he practiced 2 yrs ago, I assume he's still at the same place), and there is some info in it about m/c. There may not be a strictly *causational* link between insulin levels and m/c, but it is highly suspected to be a *correlational* link, and that's enough to convince some drs. Good luck!
