Hi Bubba,

Provera is a synthetic progestin i.e a close relative of the natural progesterone (P). P is produced by the corpus luteum during the 14 days after ovulation. If you dont ovulate, no progesterone and no bleeding. Therefore Provera is often prescibed to induce a bleed, but it works only if you have enough estradiol produced by your ovaries. If not, no bleeding or very slight bleeding will follow. Advices: have your hormones checked. Provea is better to be taken for 10-14 days to mimic the natural course of events. Question: what do you aim for? (Weight loss, regular bleeding, pg) Looking forward to your answer

Sam
