Char, I dont think the causes of PCOS is quite so simple... I self-diagnosed after my 2nd child but looking back, I had mild AN, thinning hair and a "curvaceous" figure since puberty. In my case, I do believe the pregnancies threw my hormone levels off (AN suddenly got worse during 2nd pregnancy and now my figure is apple not hourglass plump)so maybe in your case, your body did react to the tubal ligation. I dont think we can go for surgery and expect our bodies not to respond somehow.
