More Questions about Glucophage!

I just got my official PCOS diagnosis yesterday, and the doctor prescribed Glucophage RX. I asked him if I should change my diet to one that's low-carb, and he said no, that I shouldn't go low carb, but should only restrict calories if I want to lose weight. (Which I don't, dangit!) Do you think that's inaccurate? My glucose level was normal -- which, he said, is the case in 90 percent of his PCOS patients.

Also, I took my first 500 mg last night, and am sick to my stomach this morning. (Fun to be running to the bathroom at work!) Does anyone out there think that coffee has anything to do with this? Like, maybe it makes stomach upset related to Glucophage worse?

Thanks for your input.
