>"Insulin sensitizers lower blood sugar".<

Like the name suggests, the meds you take *sensitize* your body to *insulin*. Remember, these drugs are most often used by Type II diabetics, and most people erroneously think that they lower blood sugar b/c diabetics have trouble (universally) with high blood sugar levels. But Type I diabetics don't produce any/enough insulin (thus having to take insulin injections) and Type II diabetics usually overproduce insulin (needing insulin sensitizers). The complication is that if Type II diabetics go long enough w/o controlling their insulin/sugar issues, their pancreas will quit completely and they will need insulin injections just like the Type I sufferer. Just like us, too!

I don't have any suggestions about why you might feel odd during the night--how long have you been on Avandia? When do you take your pill--with supper or just before bed? Maybe Dr. Sam has some insight on this.
