Hi Tonya,

I am 25 and I have both PCOS and high blood pressure. My endocrinologist informed me that my high blood pressure is a result of the PCOS. I too am on Atenolol for HBP and use to have the numbing sensations. You should let your doctor know about them. I am not sure if the Atenolol alone is the cause for the numbing but I do know that when my doctor reduced me to 50mg a day, the numbing went away. I also went two and a half year with my blood pressure uncontrolled and now I have had three months of "normal" pressure. I just started taking 500mg of Glucophage last week and have noticed that my mood swings have disappeared. I have been on birth control and I dont think that did anything positive for me. I am thinking about stopping them all together and my endo thinks this might be good for me as well. I am not diabetic but I also went on a low carb diet and that was the only thing that provided results for me. Hope that I have helped.
