Hi I am new to the board. I have had trouble with my periods since the age 14 I am 26 now and I have not had a period at all since 14 well until reciently I went to family dr and he put me Atenol for high blood pressure and wanted me to come back the following week to take a glucose tolerance test.I went in and before starting the test she pricked my finger to see where my sugar level was at. It was high 225 so i didn't take the test the doctor put me on Met and a low carb diet he diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes after being on met for 1 month i had my first cycle I was so excited after all i had not had one in years and in the past the doctors tried everything bcp, harmone shots, pills, and nothing would make me start. Second cycle came like clock work waiting on third cycle now. In the past I was told that I had pco but never was tested for it, but I seem to have all the symptoms I have hair on stomach and face (I hate it with a passion ) I have gained so much weight ( I tried dieting but would not loose a pound for nothing)I also have panic and anxiety attacks and deppression ( does this go along with pco?)high blood pressure and now type 2 diabetes. since being on met I feel 100% better and not only am I having periods I have lost 35lbs which was not possible 3 months ago I haven't noticed panic anxity or deppression, but the hair I don't think will be going away although I think it has slowed down just a bit. I take 500mg a day of met and do not have any symptoms that are listed with this med. maybe because I don't take a high dose, but the one thing that I am concerned with is on my left thigh hip area when i lay down it gets numb or goes to sleep like. Does anyone else do this ? also I think that I have poor circulation because my hands and feet go to sleep real easy does anyone have any of this I don't know a whole lot about pco, but by raeding my story do you think that I have pco? All the help would be greatly appreciated.Good luck to all of you who are suffering this disease and God bless! you may email me BRANDONa421@aol.com .

Thanks, Tonya
