I know that I am a few months late on this discussion, but I read this message while going through the archives. I am curious to know, which RE gave you this bad advice? The reason I ask is because I am also from the St. Louis area and saw an RE here who is supposed to be "one of the best", but she gave me horrible advice. She told me the only way to deal with PCOS is to "just lose weight". She told me that PCOS is an effect of being overweight and that it was basically my own fault. She told me all I could do was diet and exercise, and gave me absolutely no guidance on the diet. I went home and started a **high** carb diet, thinking I was doing a great thing. I'm interested in knowing if this is the same Dr.
