To Helly

Having read your post , I dont know if I can offer help but I also have suffered low libido and sexual dysfunction - i don't know whether this is due to PCOS or Medication I have been on for 8 years (Spironolactone and Dianette). I have been off the med for a year , as i avoided relationships with the opposite sex due to my problems of low libido and dysfunction- however things dont seem to have got better . This maybe that it takes longer for my body to kick start itself i dont know (but i have got the horrible syptoms of hirutism acne and weight gain back !!). I dont know about you but my doc said i needed counselling, but I know this is not in my head , but that my body is failing me!! Reading your post and seeing that your on different med from me maybe it is the PCOS itself. With many of the meds acting to desensitise you body from testosterone etc I thought maybe this is why our libido goes out the window - but it seems it is much more complicated. Anyway, sorry I cannot be much of a help- there is a website http://www.hisandherhealth.com which links upto recent research on hormones and libido by 2 amercian doctors currently developing treatment for this. Spironolactone causes sexual dysfunction - it may help to research the rarer side effects of the med your on. Good Luck and Take Care
