I just want to thank everyone that contributes to this site. 8+ years ago, I was diagnosed with a mild form of PCOS and took Provera and BCPs ever since ... most recently Ortho TriCyclen 7/7/7. I have been concerned about being on BCPs for so long and have also been wondering why I always feel so run down and somewhat depressed. No one ever really believed my complaints (even I doubted myself). I've spent a lot of time on this site recently and learned that there are others who feel fatigued and depressed on Ortho TriCyclen (I am not alone!!!) and that medical articles state that this particular pill should be avoided as a treatment for PCOS. Anyway, again thanks to this site, I found a local RE that is a professional member of PCOS. SHE gave me the best gyn exam I have ever had and told me that I have multiple cysts, not PCOS (don't know where this will lead nor why my periods are so lousy) and agreed that I should stop the OrthoTriCyclen. Anyway, if it wasn't for this site, I don't think I would have realized the downside of OrthoTriCyclen, nor would I have ever thought of going to an RE. So, THANK YOU - I got more help from this site than any doctor ...
