Re: medication and blood clotsFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 18 Jun 2001 15:36:24 -0400
Ginney~ Hi! I'm also forbidden to take BCPs or any sort of hormone therapy due to blood clots. My endo says glucophage and possibly aldactone are ok, as they don't cause blood clots and don't interfere with blood thinners. Really, BCPs just treat the symptoms of PCOS, so its not too awful that we can't take them anymore. Glucophage and aldactone treat the actual problem. Do you know much about the whole vitamin K link to blood clots? If so, what are doing to eat low-carb while avoiding green veggies and soy? Much love
