Re: Glucophage dosageFrom: LF (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Jun 2001 16:05:20 -0500 (CDT)
Taking your glucophage all at once sounds unusual. My dosage is one 500 mg tablet, 3x daily (with meals). I started with 1 tablet a day, then after about a week upped to 2, then after about 5 more days upped it to 3. I could feel a chemical change in me as I adjusted to it, including aches in my arms. I only rarely have GI problems now that I've taken it for a month. I do not monitor my sugar levels, but the doc. had a blood insulin test performed before I went on the prescription. It (the insulin) was moderately elevated.
