Hi, I am VERY new to this forum, and actually have no idea if I'm even writing to the right person. I was diagnosed with PCOs( at that time PCOD ) about 15 or so years ago. My Gyn at the time treated me with 90 days of Provera and I had regular periods even after I went off of it. I went on BCPs later as I was in a sexual relationship and didn't want to get pg. I have since married that man and have gotten pg 4x. The first time was "natural" and the three times following were using Clomid. We got pg on the first round of Clomid, using Clear Plan Easy all three times. My question now is this. I delivered my last child 5 months ago. I'M DONE!!!!! I need to know what to do in terms of BC AND PCOS. I too feel the need to stop treating the symptoms and actually deal with the disease, but at the same time... I don't want to get pg. The thing that seems to complicate matters is that I am nursing. I nurse my children a LONG time. Up to three years if they are still interested. My last son weaned at 17 months. I have heard that I can't take Met while nursing and I need to know if that's true, and if it is... what else can I do?? I can't take regular BCP's because they dry up the milk. My Dr. always prescribes the "mini-pill" for me but in all honesty I never take it. I just kind of take my chances. Well... I don't wanna take ANY more chances. So... any ideas or thoughts would be welcome. I have made an appt to see an Endo next month. I didn't chose an RE because I'm not trying to get pg. Maybe I should have??? Anyway, as I said, any and all information would be appreciated. Thank you, Laurie
