A 5 hr GTT is when you sit in a hosptial bed, drink some nasty syrup stuff, and get blood drawn every 20 minutes for the next 5 hrs from an inserted IV. If you did this and he said still not IR, that means you have mild PCOS from what I have been told in Boston. PCOS worses with age and lack of treatment. It is my understanding that Gluc/Met is not for those that are not IR or who have cysts.
