Hi Melissa! I'm glad you found us too! *HUG* I know it made a difference for me when I found the online support groups and started sharing and learning from others! As to success with having biological children....yeah, PCOS makes it much more difficult (understatement) for us than most couples, but it CAN and DOES happen! I have two children of my own. My daughter is 16 and is my clomid baby. My son will be 8 next month and he's my pergonal/metrodin miracle. (Pergonal was the super drug causing so many multiple births in the late 1980's and early 1990's.....however, for ME, I was fortunate to have just ONE or TWO follicles grow to "egg potential" size.) It took SEVERAL cycles on fertility drugs before conceiving each of my kids....so, don't give up hope. The good news is....they're making new discoveries all the time and SO MUCH MORE is known about PCOS than just 5 years ago! With the insulin resistance link being addressed with medication (and sometimes diet too), a lot of women are finding it easier to conceive. I'm in an Indiana chapter where we've got a few new mommies who had taken the powerful fertility drugs without much luck, but once the insulin factor was addressed, they conceived...sometimes without needing fertility drugs! So, arm yourself with the information available here and thru these wonderful cysters, find a doctor willing to work WITH you, and you'll have a good chance of being healthier and hopefully, having that much wanted baby. As with all the others going thru infertility are, you'll be in my prayers.
