Suppliments with meds --- or instead of meds?

First thank you to Dr. Sam, Diane and Angi/AdoptASAP for your responses.

Dr. Sam -- I look forward to hearing what you think about UltraglycemX after you review the monograph. Especially if it is something I could/should take on it's own -or- with meds.

Another product was recommended to me, Metabolift. While I don't want to feed the diet industry (sorry, I couldn't resist the pun :-) if it will help with the PCOS then I would be willing to try it. Here are the ingredients:

TWINLAB METABOLIFT Standardized MaHuang Extract 334 mg Standardized Guarana Extract (standardized for 22% caffeine) 910 mg Chromium (from Chromic Fuel patented chromium picolinate) 200 mcg In a concentrated herbal base consisting of: White Willow Bark Extract and Cayenne.

TWINLAB METABOLIFT THERMOGENIC FORMULA WITH L-PHENYLALANINE & CHROMIUM PICOLINATE L-Phenylanine 250 mg, Guarana Extract 910 mg (standardized for 22% caffeine) Chromium (from Chromic Fuel* patented chromium picoliante 200 mcg. ) In a natural thermogenic herbal base containing ginger root powder and cayenne powder.

Also, as I do not need to take my BCP (TriCylen) for birth control at the moment I think I will stop. I don't get my period without it -- will the other meds regulate my period? (Question open to all who may have an answer)

Sorry for all the questions but I've very new to the concept that there might actually be something I can do about the situation.

--
Thanks, Katy in Victoria BC
