Just diagnosed w/PCOS, now what??From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 May 2001 14:09:08 -0500 (CDT)
Hi. I was just recently diagnosed w/ possibly having pcos. Some doctors have said yes and others have said no. About 3 yrs. ago my dr at the time did a diagnostic laparoscopy to determine if I had pcos. He said no, everything was fine. I went to an endocrinologist just before that and she took blood work and said yes i did have pcos. I have very irregular periods, but that is it. So I dont know if I really have this or not, but my heart tells me yes. We have been trying to get pregnant for the last 2 1/2 years with no success. My current dr wants to put me on Clomid. That is basically all he told me. Go on Clomid and you should be able to get pregnant, if not we'll try something else. Not much info. Anyone having more info, please help!! I am worried I will not become pregnant, and if i do I may miscarry. Also, with pcos and the Clomid what affects do they have on pregnancy/the baby??
