i have been on glucophage, 1500mg per day for over a year. in Janurary of this year i began to have regular periods. my cycles were 40 days long. this month i did not start my period. i realize that cycles that long are not usually ovulatory, and i am not pregnant. i am wondering if the loss of cycle this month means my hormones are "reverting" or whether cycles 40 days long are inherently unstable. in short i am wondering whether i should be overly alarmed about missing this period, or if it doesn't mean anything.

husband and i are TTC, but only by charting and trying to time things at this point. we are going to move on to clomid in 6 months of no result.

thank you for your reply
